Passing out

Let me start by saying that this was the first time I have ever had someone pass out from a movie. The night started out busy but not having any problems. It was myself and another person doing security for Saw VI, which was very slow and boring. The only thing that happened was a guy got so spooked he dropped his bag of popcorn and was sitting at the edge of his seat. It was nothing compared to all the action that was going on in Paranormal Activity. So we found a way to end up on the other side of the theater to be at the doors of PA.

We didn't have much to do for the movie, people actually were paying attention to it instead of texting, talking, or being stupid. It was funny to watch the people be scared. There was a young man with his mom sitting in the first handicapped seating area. His mom was in a wheelchair and he was sitting next to her. He looked over at me and whispered that the movie was super scary. I told him that he hadn't seen anything yet. He freaked out and told him mom that something worse was coming. I started laughing a somewhat evilish laugh and he said to "please stop laughing like that, your scaring me to death!" It only made me laugh even harder. I watched him jump out of his seat at the end and it was hilarious.

During the last set for the night, I had a guy come down the hallway passed some girls that were standing around. They all looked at him in a strange way. I asked what was that about and they said he almost fell down and was drunk. He was staggering and opened the exit door. I went up to him and asked if he was alright. He said that the blood was too much and it was making him dizzy and lightheaded. I asked where he came from and he said he was in Law Abiding Citizen, by the way is an awesome movie and Gerard Butler shows his amazing ass. He said he was getting sick from all the blood. I told him to stand in the doorway but to not let it close behind him so he wouldn't get locked out. He said okay. The guy I was working with, got him some water. We told him to drink the water and take deep breaths. He said thanks. He ended up back in his movie and made it through the rest of it. I checked on him and he was doing fine. By the way, he wasn't drunk at all.

So we are at the end of a eventless night, no one got kicked out, no one snuck in, and I even had a teen tell me he respected me for doing my job. He said that he noticed I treated everyone the same and respected me for it. WHAT!!!! A teen respecting me, it must be the end of the world. Nope, that won't happen until 2012. Anyway, we were saying good-night to the customers as they left the theater (PA), when some lady comes out and tells us someone passed out and was on the floor. We went into the theater and there was a lady on the floor with everyone around her staring down. There was a couple EMT's in the theater at the time and was helping her. She was out of it, bigtime! She was all clamy and sweaty. She wasn't responding at first and people were standing around. I announced that people needed to leave the theater. I sent someone for the officer that was working and some paper to get her information. The EMT's got her talking and she said it was a combination of the heat, crowd, movie and not eating anything but Raisinettes and Coke. An ambulance was called to ensure she was not suffering from a head injury, since she fell flat on the ground. She said she was doing fine. She was too excited from being scared and lost it. What fun is that? I just shake my head in amazement. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to get that scared from a movie. Maybe I've just seen way to many horror movies in my day.

Coming up is Michael Jackson's This Is It movie. Tonight is the Midnight show. We didn't sell very many tickets in advance. I don't really think I'm going to catch this one. It's a Sony movie and they restrict employees from watching it for free for the first two weeks. I don't want to pay to see it, so therefore, unless I go to work 2 hours early, I won't be seeing it. I don't think it's worth the money. I could be wrong, in which, I will gladly tell you so. Until next time, see you at the movies!

Paranormal Activity - Saw VI - and ME

Well, it's been forever since I wrote a little something on here. Life has been interesting lately. The teens I wrote about in the past are all now of age and the newer "teens" are worse. There is a group of super snotty girls that are pushing my buttons when I see them. One girl thinks that because her tits are hanging out of her shirt and she is "pretty", she should be able to get multiple rated R tickets without ID's. I told one of the other managers that her name was on my fist and I was ready to hit her. We laughed at her and her friends for being so stupid.

We had over 2600 people in today. That's a pretty good number considering it was a Friday. I was scheduled to work security because of the movies Saw VI and Paranormal Activity. It was a pretty good night even though the place was packed. I spent about 20 minutes after Paranormal convincing about 5 females that is was a movie and not real. I was laughing my ass off about it. They were so funny, how scared they were and I was able to relax their fears so they could sleep tonight. I can only shake my head and roll my eyes at them. Saw VI was just okay. It could have been worse. People seeing these movies were pretty good tonight. The only problem we had was a couple of really big girls refusing to move from some saved seats. Petty I know! It took forever to get off work because of busyness and we have a new manager who is slow as ever.

I'm not sure about this whole Michael Jackson movie hoopla. I find it quite funny that people who were glad he left the USA are the same people who are going nuts about his death. I guess he is a hero now that people can make a shit load of money off of him. I will always love his music, but his face is another story. We have a midnight show of his movie and I look forward to working it, NOT! Well, I'm off to bed. Another security filled night for tomorrow. Until then, see you at the movies!
